Charlotte Lucille Roberts Kuehn

Funeral services for Charlotte Lucille Roberts Kuehn will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Natchez with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Richard F. Kuehn Jr., Charles E. Kuehn, Justin Lee Holladay, William Timothy Case, Jason Bailey and Phillip E. Hale. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard F. Kuehn Sr., Robert J. Kuehn Jr., Steve Wooten, Ernie Clark, Paul R. Kuehn, Wayne McCarsell, Keith J. Breaux, Elton Merritt, Dix Doering, John Sanford Smith, Dr. C.C. Miller Jr. and John A. Leckie. Rev. Steve Lammons, pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Columbus will be officiating the services. Laird Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Kuehn, 70, of Sorrento, Florida died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at Shands Hospital on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville. She was born April 13, 1945, in Hattiesburg to the late George Hudson Roberts and the late Nina Sanford Roberts Reeves.

Charlotte grew up in Brookhaven and was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and Copiah-Lincoln Junior College, followed by attendance at the University of Southern Mississippi. She married Don Kuehn on April 5, 1970, at the First Presbyterian Church in Brookhaven. Charlotte was honored to have been selected Miss Brookhaven in 1964, to promote and support her beloved Brookhaven. Charlotte’s priority was always to her faith in Christ, her family and her friends. She loved all of the family gatherings and never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert D. Reeves Jr.; and two aunts, Toni Sanford Smith Lent and Inez Sanford Shaw, who held a special place in her heart.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Charles Kuehn; her daughter, Bonnie Elizabeth Kuehn Trueblood and husband, Robert Todd Trueblood; two grandsons, Lucas Case Trueblood and Justin Ray Trueblood of Sorrento, Florida; two sisters, Emily Roberts Case of Hattiesburg and Jenny Roberts Hebert and husband, Dr. Charles Hebert, of Birmingham, Alabama; a special Aunt Kathleen Sanford Ory of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
