Lincoln County’s Les Belles des Hospitalitié

Over the past year, a group of young ladies have assisted the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of commerce as youth ambassadors. Their hard work has helped highlight the best and brightest of Brookhaven. Biographies below are taken from the applications turned in during the last school year.
Lea Trigg Allen is the daughter of Mark and Jennifer Allen. She participates in BHS Band, Mississippi Scholars and BHS Junior Varsity Tennis Team. She has received the honor of honor roll and National Junior Honor Society. She is a member of Sweetwater United Methodist Church and a member of USTA 14 and under Junior League.
Ellie Grace Currie is the daughter of Alan and Angie Currie. She is a ninth grade representative on Student Council, was named to the 8th grade Honor Roll, received the Most Books Read award in eighth grade,and was hired to work at Pro Shop at Brookhill last summer. She attends First Baptist Summit.
Hannah Riley Davis is the daughter of Nick Davis and Jane Flowers. She participates in the National Jr. Honor Society, Beta Club, BHS Band and Rising Scholars. She has been named to the honor roll all nine years of school, Presidential Award fifth and sixth grade, induction to the National Junior Honor Society and selected for the publicity articles for the Stars and Stripes at Camp Shelby, a worldwide circulation. She has been a dancer for 12 years at Showstoppers, a competitive dancer for four years and is a member of the youth group at Jackson Street United Methodist Church.
Tess Ann Dykes is the daughter of Lori Dykes and Paul Dykes. She is as Mississippi Scholar and is on the A honor roll. She attends Faith Presbyterian and plays piano.
Sarah Grace Evans is the daughter of Jeff and Beth Evans. She participates in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is on the BHS Tennis Team. She has received A and B honor roll, Junior National Honor Society, Best Dressed and Tennis Rookie of the year in eighth grade. She attends First Baptist Church Youth.
Jadeyn Marie Fuller is the daughter of Mark and Down Fuller. She participated in the 2014 Homecoming Production, BHS Lady Panthers Slowpitch and Fastpitch Softball Team, competitive dance for Showstoppers Studio of Dance for three years and Showstoppers Studio of Dance for 12 years. She received the Alexander’s Rising Scholars, National Honor Society in eighth grade, President’s Award for Academic Excellence, Panther Award in Fastpitch Softball in 2014 and selected for Duke University Talent Identification program. She is an active member of Jackson Street United Methodist Church. She participates in the Outreach program at Jackson Street United Methodist Church doing Operation Christmas Child, Flood Buckets, and Hospice Compassus. She does volunteer work with the Exchange Club Fair.
Molly Grace Hennington is the daughter of Kandi and George Hennington. She participates in West Lincoln cheer and Mississippi Gym of Dreams cheer. She has been named to the A and B honor roll, sixth and eighth grade most beautiful, homecoming maid seventh grade and ninth grade years and Miss West Lincoln Junior High in eighth grade. She is an active member at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Abbigail Elizabeth Jones is the daughter of Jack and Katie Jones. She participates in BHS homecoming production and BHS tennis team. She has received the honor of all As for the first semester in ninth grade. She is an altar-server at St. Francis Catholic Church and a member of youth choir at the church. She helps with Bible school and has taken dance from Showstoppers for 11 years, four of those years doing competitive dance.
Anna Rose Mary Mabile is the daughter of Matt and Terri Mabile. She has participated in Show Stoppers Studio of Dance for 10 years, competitive dance for three years, BHS band, BHS indoor percussion and the 2014 homecoming production. She has received honor roll, is a Mississippi Scholar, the Freshman Class President and received the English Academic Award. She is a member of Jackson Street United Methodist Church and youth group. She volunteers at Vacation Bible School.
Margaret “Maggie” Frances Massengill is the daughter of Robb and Fran Massengill. She participates in Brookhaven High School varsity cheer, Brookhaven High School tennis team and Mississippi Gym of Dreams competitive cheer. She has received the honor of all A honor roll, Mississippi Rising Scholar, seventh grade Best Personality, two years in Mississippi Music Educators All-state Honor Choir member and the Junior High Leadership Award. She attends Faith Presbyterian Church, sings in the youth group worship team and volunteers for vacation Bible school.
Kathryn Claire Meilstrup is the daughter of Duane and Jennifer Meilstrup. She participates in BHS Diamond Dolls, BHS varsity cheer and Gym of Dreams competitive cheer. She has received the A and B honor roll and the Quest Award in eighth grade. She is apart of the First Baptist Church youth group.
Jacy Nicole Miller is the daughter of Kelly and Crystal Miller. She participates in Homecoming Production, Quest Program, BHS cheer, BHS cross-country team and Gym of Dreams competitive cheer. She has received the all As honor roll, Rising Scholars, National Honor Society, President’s Award, Most Courteous and All-American Nominee for National Cheerleaders Association. She is a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church, and she attends Rock Solid at First Baptist. She was chosen to be in the NAM Mississippi State Pageant and chosen to travel and study in Canada by the Student Ambassador Program.
Madalyn Nicole Oglesby is the daughter of Tim and Valarie Oglesby. She participates in Positive Choice Club, Teenage Republicans, Science Club, Junior High National Honor Society, cheer, basketball, soccer and track. She has received the honor of Mississippi Scholar, Junior National Honor Society, Honor Roll all As, Honor Roll all As and Bs, captain of Junior High cheer squad, captain of Nena Smith School of Dance (class), All American Cheer Nominee 2013, All American Cheerleader 2014 and MAIS AAA Reserve Champ Cheer Squad. She attends First Baptist Church youth group and assists with projects at The Doll House, assists with fundraising for Case De Fe, volunteers with Junior Auxiliary Wish Tree and volunteers to teach Pee Wee and Pep Squad cheer at BA.
Caroline Elizabeth Pace is the daughter of James and Kim Pace. She participates in Brookhaven Academy positive choices club, Brookhaven Academy science club, Junior National Honor Society, Junior high cheer at BA, competitive cheer at Gym of Dreams and competitive dance at Showstoppers. She has received the honor of Principal’s list since 4th grade, Junior Mississippi Scholar in sixth through eighth grade, UCA All American Cheerleader, ninth grade homecoming maid and Jr. National Honor Society. She transferred to Brookhaven High School her freshman year. She attends Easthaven Baptist Church youth group.
Rebecca Anne Peavey is the daughter of Dr. Michael and Anna Peavey. She participated in cheer in the seventh grade at Alexander Junior High. She has played piano for eight years. She attends Faith Presbyterian Church youth group and is a volunteer at vacation Bible school. She is a volunteer at Brookhaven Animal Rescue League.
Ainslee Gray Reynaud is the daughter of Keith and Heather Reynaud. She participates in cheer, is a basketball manager and an assistant with PeeWee cheerleading at the school. She has received A and B honor roll, student of the month and student of the year. She is an active church member of New Prospect Baptist Church and active in the youth Acteens program at New Prospect Baptist Church. She also is an assistant in vacation Bible school.
McKenzy Reese Stewart is the daughter of Parish and Carinna Stewart. She participates in the BA Positive Choices Club, Science Club, BA First Priority, BA class officer, BA junior varsity cheerleader and co-captain, BA junior varsity girls basketball, BA Lady Cougars soccer and Gym of Dreams competitive cheer. She was a member of National Junior Honor Society, Mississippi Scholars, Duke TIP and named to honor roll. She is a youth member at Easthaven Baptist Church.
Mary “Maddie” Thompson is the daughter of Alicia Linton and Greg Thompson. She participates in BHS Cheer, BHS competitive cheer team, Gym of Dreams cheer team, BHS basketball team and BHS cross-country team. She was named to the honor roll, BHS 2014 ninth grade homecoming maid, 2014 BHS homecoming production and 2013-2014 class favorite. She is a member of a First Baptist Church Brookhaven, where she is very involved in mission trips, church camps, Rock Solid and choir.
Allie Claire Townsend is the daughter of Dwayne and Cindy Townsend. She is a member of the “Pride of Ole Brook” All Superior Band, BHS colorguard, BHS winterguard, AJH Student Council Secretary, BHS Homecoming 2014 Production, Show Stoppers Studio of Dance for 12 years, Show Stoppers Studio of Dance Competitive Company for four years and participated in Brookhaven Recreation Department’s softball and soccer programs. She has received the all A honor roll, National Junior Honor Society, Mississippi Rising Scholar, AJH Principal’s Award 2013-2014, Exchange Club Youth of the Month, Perfect Attendance Award, Technology Foundations Award and Mathematics and Language Arts Award. She is an active member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she is in the youth group and youth choir. She is also a member of Acteens at Macedonia Baptist Church. She volunteers with vacation Bible school, the Exchange Club Fair and Brookhaven Animal Rescue League.
Madisyn Wall is the daughter of Vincent and Chasity Wall. She participates in FCA, BHS Homecoming Production, BHS Cross Country Team, BHS Varsity Cheer, and 2 MS Gym of Dreams cheer squads. She has received all A honor roll, Perfect Attendance 6th grade, National Jr. Honor Society, and Rising Scholar since 5th grade. She is a member of FBC youth group and has attended many youth summer camps with FBC, including mission trips.
Grace Elise Williams is the daughter of Ralph and Kay Williams. She participates in West Lincoln Fellowship of Christian Athletes, West Lincoln cross-country, Mississippi Gym of Dreams competitive cheer and West Lincoln varsity cheer. She is on the A and B honor roll. She attends Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Youth Group and Acteens.
