Bears battle Crusaders in Hattiesburg

West Lincoln (1-0), coached by first-year head coach Charlie Jackson, opened the season with a 33-6 triumph over Mount Olive in their home season opener at Perry Miller Field.
The Bears will be looking to continue their success as they travel to Hattiesburg to battle the Sacred Heart Crusaders.
The Crusaders, coached by Lonny Schraeder, were hammered by Columbia Academy 35-0 in their season opening debut last week.
West Lincoln’s top offensive performer from last week was quarterback Jayden Rushing with 82 yards rushing.
Defensively, Dillon Griffin led the Bears with nine tackles, followed by Lofton Sills’ eight tackles.
Last year West Lincoln knocked off Sacred Heart 15-3 at Perry Miller Field.
My prediction: West Lincoln captures its second win of the season with a 21-7 victory over Sacred Heart.
