Polls open today for run-offs

Polls open today for run-off election Polls will be open today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for run-off elections in Lincoln County.
On the ballot will be Samuel F. ‘Sam’ Britton and Tony Smith for Public Service Commissioner for the Southern District. Voters in Districts 2 and 5 will have the opportunity to choose the Republican candidates for supervisor. District 2’s race is between Don Smith and Bobby J. Watts. District 5’s race is between Donald E. Case and Doug Falvey.
Whoever wins between Smith and Watts will face Jerry McGehee in November. Whoever wins between Case and Falvey will face Gary Walker in November.
Anyone who did not vote in the primary on Aug. 4 is eligible to vote in the run-off. Also, those who voted Republican on Aug. 4 can vote in the run-off. A government-issued photo identification is required to cast a ballot.
