BA Lady Cougars fall to ACCS

NATCHEZ – The Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougars battled the Adams County Christian School Lady Rebel Monday night in MAIS fastpitch softball action.
The Lady Cougars entered into the game with high hopes of snapping a four game losing streak, but the Lady Rebels denied BA the opportunity as ACCS won 7-0.
“We suffered another tough district loss but I still believe in this group of girls,” said BA coach Becky Flowers. “I know that time is ticking down on us, but I know the Lady Cougars will show up soon.”
The Lady Cougars (4-7, 0-3) continue action today as they travel to take on Bowling Green. Junior varsity action begins at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity contest at 6:30 p.m.
ACCS 7, BA 0
Allie Summers suffered the setback on the rubber for BA as she gave up seven hits in a three strikeouts and six walks effort.
The Lady Cougars committed four errors against ACCS.
Kailyn Jordan and Anna Grace Covington were the top hitters at the plate with a single apiece.
In junior varsity action, Â Brookhaven Academy and ACCS finished with a 2-2 tie.
Emily Claire Felder (2K, 3BB) pitched for the Lady Cougars.
Madison Moak, Olivia Lewis, Abeni Fuller and Cameron Watson directed BA’s offense with a single each.
