Private burial for Ruby Olene Hudson was 10 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Springhill United Pentecostal Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Hudson, 87, of Brookhaven, died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Silver Cross Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 13, 1927, to Dan Stephens and Lily Butler Stephens.

She worked in a garment factory as a seamstress and was a member of Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Hudson; parents; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Linda Hudson; daughter, Renae Miller; two grandchildren, Stephanie Hudson and Jason Miller; and numerous siblings.

Survivors are her daughter, Doris Hudson Britt and husband, Michael; son-in-law, Melvin Miller; sisters, Mamie Hux, Kary Lack; eight grandchildren, Scott Hudson, Stacy Hudson, Jennifer Hudson, Tanya Raimo, Jessica McGaugh, Amber Camarillo and Allison Miller Knight; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
