MCCOMB – The Lincoln County Americans and Nationals Coach-Pitch 7-year-old All-Stars suffered tough defeats in their opening debut Friday night in the District 6 Tournament at McComb.

The Nationals were out matched by the Natchez All-Stars falling 16-0 in the opener. In the nightcap, the Lincoln County Americans fought hard in an offensive battle but lost to the McComb Nationals 14-5.

In Saturday’s contest, the Lincoln County Americans bounced back to eliminate the McComb Americans 23-7 in the opener of the loser’s bracket to stay alive. The Lincoln County Americans are currently still alive as they took on counterparts the Lincoln County Nationals in a 4 p.m. contest Saturday. The results of this contest were unavailable at press time.
