Brookhaven native Laura Lee Lewis was named second runner-up during the 2015 Miss Mississippi pageant in Vicksburg Saturday.

Lewis, who currently holds the Miss Riverland title, was named preliminary swimsuit winner during Thursday night’s event.

Lewis was named first runner-up in the 2014 Miss Mississippi Pageant and was second runner-up in the 2013 Miss Mississippi Pageant. Lewis is a 2011 graduate of Brookhaven High School and currently attends Mississippi State University, where she is pursuing a degree in elementary education.

Miss University of Southern Mississippi Hannah Roberts was crowned Miss Mississippi.
