AAA 9-year-old action on tap this weekend

The Lincoln County Dixie Youth Baseball AAA 9-year-old All-Star teams begin playoff action Friday in the district tournament at Duncan Park in Natchez.

The 9-year-old National and American All-Stars has their sights set on making a run toward the State Tournament which will held at Mendenhall on July 10.

The Sub-District tournament will have the Lincoln County American and Nationals, the McComb Nationals and Americans All-Stars, the Natchez All-Stars and the Walthall All-Stars fighting hard to claim the No. 1 spot to advance to State.

The Lincoln County Americans kick off the tournament in the opener against the McComb National All-Stars at 6 p.m. and the Lincoln County Nationals battle the Natchez All-Stars in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. The McComb American All-Stars will also be in action against the Walthall All-Stars at 6 p.m.

Members of the Lincoln County All-Stars are:

AAA 9-year-old Americans:  Tanner Stokes, Colby Terrell, Gavin Norton, Noah Gatlin, Robert Adcock, Brett Jordan, Xavier Gayten, Thomas King, Nathan Rawls, Aiken Allen. Head Coach: Shane Stokes. Assistant Coaches: Chris Terrell, Gary Wayne Norton.

AAA 9-year-old Nationals:  Brandon Burt, Marshall Hart, Ian Gatlin, Mason White, Caden White, Jaden Lea, Connor Cunningham, Jared Anderson, Nathan Poole, Carson Temple. Head Coach:  Tim Cunningham. Assistant Coaches:  Damian Gatlin, Duane Burt.
