Funeral services for Wilma Dean Henning Swinney are Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service and will resume at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2015, prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Swinney, 82, of Bogue Chitto, died Monday, June 8, 2015. She was born in Oklahoma on May 8, 1933 to Dolan Melvin Henning and Hazel Lucille Chronister Henning.

Mrs. Wilma was a long-time employee of Gibson’s Dept. Store and Catos. She also was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She loved to crochet, was an avid painter and was the very best and most loving babysitting mamaw ever!

Preceding her in death was her husband, Bill Swinney; and grandson, Billy Pyeatt.

Survivors include her four daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Pyeatt and husband, Mike, Debbie Carter and husband, Dan, Kay Dixon and husband, Timmy and Christy Moak and husband, Jerry; one step-son, William Lee and wife, Bonnie; one brother, Les Henning and wife, the late Patricia Henning; step-brother, Albert Jones and wife, Janie; eight grandchildren, Mikey Pyeatt and wife, Dana, the late Billy Pyeatt and wife, Jeannie, Benji Pyeatt and wife, Ellen, Jamie Carter and wife, Jacki, Shannon Carter and wife, Afton, Ashley Martin and husband, Tim, Kelsey Dixon and Amber Moak; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
