Odis ‘Boyd’ Brown

Funeral services for Odis “Boyd” Brown are 12 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Clear Branch Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 10 from 9 a.m. until time of services.

Mr. Brown, 88, of Brookhaven died June 8, 2015, at the home of his daughter.

He was born on March 12, 1927, to Belford Moscow Brown and Pearl Harrison Brown.

He was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church and served in the Army during W.W. II.

He was retired as a grocery store business owner.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Belford Brown; sisters, Ora V. Evans, Aunie Bee Martin, Jewel King and Dorthy Brown; and grandson, Trent Killingsworth.

He is survived by his son, Michael Brown and wife, Jill; daughters, Sandra Thomas and husband, Billy, Sharon Tarver and husband, Butch, Sheila Killingsworth and Stephanie McMorris and husband, Clay, all of Brookhaven; brothers, Burnell Brown of Brookhaven and Billy Brown of Jackson; sister, Dean Mobley and husband, Dan of Utica; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Clear Branch Baptist Church Building Fund.
