Brookhaven Academy freshman Luke Jackson represented the Cougars’ golf team in the MAIS South State AA Tournament and the MAIS State AA Tournament last week.

The MAIS AA South State Golf Tournament was held at the Wolf Hollow Golf Course on the Copiah-Lincoln Community College campus.

Jackson finished strong in the South State Tournament as he placed fifth overall, scoring a 78 on the day to qualify for the State MAIS Tournament.

In the MAIS AA State Tournament, Jackson competed against the top eight MAIS AA teams and other qualifying individual participants for state championship gold, which was held at the Canton Country Club on May 4.

Jackson finished the event with a score of 83 on the day. The North Delta Green Wave won the team championship.
