Funeral Services for Minnie Alice Clopton are 12 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2015 at Decell Memorial United Methodist Church with burial at Wesson Cemetery.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the church.

Mrs. Minnie Alice Clopton, lovingly known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as Grandmother, 93, of Wesson, died April 17, 2015 at her residence. She was born Nov. 19, 1921 to Thomas W. Gibson and Inez Barksdale Gibson. She graduated from Port Arthur College in Port Arthur, Texas and worked as secretary of Mississippi Employment Security Commission where she retired. She was a long-time member of Decell Memorial United Methodist Church and an active and faithful member of United Methodist Women.

Mrs. Clopton was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Harvard Clopton Jr.; parents; brothers, Aubrey Gibson and James Gibson; and niece Jamie Gibson.

Survivors are her sons, Harold H. “Buzzy” Clopton, III, Rickey T. Clopton and wife, Mary, Michael L. Clopton and wife, Linda; daughter, Melnee Frazier and husband, Ralph; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; loving caregivers, Margie Parsons, Kathy Etheridge, Pat Sills, Jennifer Jaudon and Addie Coleman.
