Lincoln County Deputy Coroner John Riggs confirmed the fatality of Pebble Robinson on Saturday at 5:30 a.m.

According to Brandon Fortenberry, public affairs officer for Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M, Robinson was driving her 2006 Ford Fusion east on Highway 550 near Caseyville when she ran off the left side of the highway. Robinson overcorrected her vehicle, which resulted in a collision with a tree on the driver’s side.

Robinson was a 68-year-old resident of Jefferson County and was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident. She was pronounced dead upon arrival of the scene.

The incident is still under investigation. Robinson’s body has been transported Jackson for an autopsy.
