Funeral Services for Curtis J. Forrest of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mr. Forrest, 83, died Jan. 12, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on Jan. 18, 1931, to Lee H. Forrest and Ola Freeman Forrest.

Mr. Forrest was owner of Forrest TV Service in Brookhaven for over 40 years. He also had a wonderful sense for landscaping and lawn care which he used to help others after retiring.

Mr. Forrest and Rosie have committed their lives to serving and worshiping faithfully at First Assembly of God Church in Brookhaven for 63 years. He was a kind, generous, soft-spoken man whose life is a legacy of faith and servanthood to God. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, L.H., Wilbert and Ellis Burton Forrest; and sister, Lois F. Szymanski.

Survivors are his sweetheart and loving wife of close to 65 years, Rosie Ezell Forrest; five beautiful daughters, Diane Sellari, Barbara Hyatt and husband, Ron, Pam Donald, Amy Statezny and husband, Andrew, Starla Smith and husband, Sam; grandchildren, William Forrest Sellari and wife, Solange, Sarah Sellari, Blake Hyatt and wife, Yazmin, Forrest Donald, Taylor Donald, Sydney Donald, Samuel Statezny, Ethan Forrest Statezny, Drew Cutrer and Clay Cutrer; four great-grandchildren, Lillian, Xander, Logan, Levi; brothers, Marvin Forrest and wife, Diane, Robert Earl Forrest, Billy Joe Forrest; sisters, Estelle F. Slivka and husband, Al and Lavell F. Burrough; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
