Saturday at 6:33 p.m. the Brookhaven Police Department responded to an incident at 1303 North Center Street.

BPD Commander David Johnson said there were multiple shots fired at the residence and one shot hit Tyrone Jones in the right knee. Jones was taken to King’s Daughters Medical Center then transported to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. 

Johnson said BPD has not yet arrested anyone in connection with the incident. The shooting is considered an open investigation, and BPD is in the process of speaking with witnesses.
