Ducks Unlimited prepares for annual banquet

Monday Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. the Lincoln County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will host its Annual Sportsman Banquet at the National Guard Armory in Brookhaven. Ticket prices for the event are $45 for a single dinner and membership, $75 for a couples dinner and memberships and $25 for a kid’s dinner and Greenwing Membership.
“Ducks Unlimited is a non-profit organization that tries to rebuild and conserve duck habitats,” Jeremy Winborne, President of the Lincoln County Ducks Unlimited chapter, said. “It’s a conservation effort. Ducks Unlimited helps regulate the duck population in areas by facilitating duck population growth and hunting.
The chapter is also encouraging sponsorships by selling sponsor packages. There are two sponsor packages. The $350 Bronze Sponsor Package which includes three dinners, one sponsorship membership, two regular memberships, $100 worth of raffle tickets, name on a Sponsor table and Banner and DU incentives bag. The $950 Corporate Sponsorship package includes six dinners, one sponsorship membership, four regular memberships, $200 worth of raffle tickets, name on a Sponsor table and Banner, DU incentives bag and a sponsor gun.
Some of the incentives for becoming a sponsor of the chapter include tax deductibility, an opportunity to display business names, a great networking opportunity, and a great time for clients, families and friends.
“I hope we can get a lot of people from the community there and have a good time and raise money so that we can continue to hunt and harvest ducks,” Winborne said. Doors for the event open at 5:45 p.m. and Winborne is expecting the event to kick-off shortly after. Activities include a silent auction, live auction and raffle give-away.
