The Lincoln County Circuit Clerk’s office will be open Oct. 25 and Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. to noon for Saturday absentee voting.
Lincoln County Circuit Clerk Dustin Bairfield said there have been an extremely low number of absentee ballots this year. Fifty-one requests have been made through the mail, and 15 have been returned. There have been 21 in-office absentee votes.
The deadline for in-person absentee voting is Nov. 3. If a voter requested a ballot through the mail it must be returned through the mail by Nov. 3 at 5 p.m. The only exception is active military whose votes must be mailed back by Election Day as late as 7 p.m.
