Funeral Services for Burl Brown Hardin of Vardaman were 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Slate Springs with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Vance and Bro. Ethan Nanney officiated. Pallbearers were David Minton, Clay West, Ethan Nanney, Corey Vance, Eddie Helms and Jess Moore. Pryor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Hardin, 76, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at his residence. He was born on July 25, 1938, to Johnie Hardin and Olene Brown.
He was a member of the Masons and a member of College Hill Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his son, Ty Hardin, and wife, Kay, of Olive Branch; brother, Derry Hardin of Hattiesburg; six sisters, Shelda Muphree and husband, Jim, of Denver, Colorado, Nita West of Calhoun City, Majorie Knight of Calhoun City, Melba Ramage and husband, Everett, of Madison, Alabama, Helon Gragg and husband, Ben, of Atlanta, Georgia and Becky Atkinson and husband, Bob, of Merritt Island, Florida; one grandchild, Spencer Lee Hardin; Ty’s mother, Lavern Wallace Hardin of Brookhaven.
The family asks, in lieu of flowers be made to Dorroh Lake Baptist Assembly.
