• Lincoln County Litter Coordinator Ronnie Durr is working on cleaning up illegal dump sites in the county.

• Cougar trail was made public.

• The supervisors discussed of the stray dog problem at Enterprise School. District 3 Supervisor Nolan Williamson said that because people at the school feed them every day, the dogs will continue to return and there is not much that can be done other than stop feeding them.

• Lincoln County Attorney Bob Allen said he is still working with the city on the vicious dog ordinance. He wants to discuss an agreement with the city since they are already equipped to take care of dogs. He added that it would not apply to stray dogs, just ones that are deemed vicious.

• The supervisors commended the work done by the volunteer commissioners at the Wildlife Expo event in the Lincoln Civic Center. President of the board, Eddie Brown, said he has never seen so many people in the Civic Center.

• Clifford Galey was approved to attend a conference.

• The board heard the bids for paving jobs across the county. The city Ryan Holmes with Dungan Engineering estimated the cost to be $534,130. Although the bid application was sent to multiple businesses, local paving company Dickerson and Bowen were the only ones to turn in a bid for the project at $566,075. The bid was accepted. Williamson put the cost in to perspective. He said 1 ton of concrete, 2 inches thick, would only cover nine square yards.

• The board approved the 2014-2015 budget with the 4.06 mill increase.

• The board announced American Railcar Inc. would be holding their ribbon cutting Oct. 23.

 The Board of Supervisors met Monday, Sept. 15.
