Interstate 55 was backed up Wednesday night after a passenger vehicle went down the highway the wrong way, causing a three 18-wheeler pile-up. One of the trucks was over turned on the highway in the northbound lane near exit 42 in Lincoln County.

The accident took place at 8:24 p.m. and Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M reported no injuries.

The interstate was cleared at 2 a.m. Thursday.
