Starting Monday, Aug. 11 at 9 a.m., Miss. Highway 24/U.S. Highway 98 in Pike County will be shifted to a two-lane format due to construction on lanes under the I-55 overpass bridge at Exit 15.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation advises traffic to be cautious while lane closures alternate during construction. The MDOT said that crews will be working 24 hours, seven days a week to complete the construction.

Lanes will be closed for approximately five weeks.

The project is a combined effort between the MDOT and Key Constructors of Madison Mississippi. The construction will be reconstructing lanes and lower the existing lanes.
