The smell of sizzling burgers filled Railroad Park Thursday afternoon as area officials and businessmen and women mingled at the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce cookout.

The event gave officials and the public a chance to meet and greet and also allowed the chamber to recognize the new members who have joined the organization since June 2013.

“We are very appreciative to the new and current chamber members,” said Stan Patrick, a Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce board member. “They are all vital cogs in our city.”
