Mr. and Mrs. Walter James Schimmel III, of Wesson, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Abigail Grace Schimmel, of Wesson, to Sawyer Chase Richardson, of Bogue Chitto.

He is the son of Gary and Donna Richardson, of Bogue Chitto.

She is the granddaughter Vera Strange, of Darien, Georgia, Richard and Libby Padgett, of Darien, Martha J. Schimmel and the late Walter James Schimmel II, of Athens, Georgia.

He is the grandson of Brenda Bahn Simmons, of Brookhaven, the late Herman Leroy Bowman Jr., of Brookhaven, and Leroy and Jo Ann Richardson, of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a 2012 graduate of Wesson Attendance Center. She will be attending University of Mississippi Medical Center in the fall.

The prospective groom is a 2010 graduate of Brookhaven High School. He will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing in December from Mississippi State University.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014, at The Ole Towne Church in downtown Brookhaven.
