THE DAILY LEADER / RHONDA DUNAWAY / Wesson’s Founder’s Day parade Saturday morning on Highway 51 included a float from the children’s ministry of Sylvarena Baptist Church of Hazlehurst.

Many of the floats in Wesson’s Founders Day parade were horse-drawn carriages or wagons, including this group with Beauregard United Methodist Church of Wesson.

Marva Goodman demonstrates how people spun cotton the old-fashioned way inside the Wesson Historical Museum Saturday during the Wesson Founders Day and 150th anniversary celebration.
