Southwest sophomore forward Twymond Howard has been named the MACJC’s men’s basketball player of the week for the week of Jan. 12-17. This marks the second consecutive week for a Southwest Bear to receive the honor.

Howard, a graduate of Pearl High School, averaged 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game as the Bears went 1-1 for the week. He now has seven double-doubles on the season.

As the MACJC’s men’s Player of the Week, Howard will automatically be nominated for the NJCAA Player of the Week award.
