Funeral services Brenda Kay Simmons of Magnolia are 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, at Silver Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Smith will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from 6 until 10 p.m. at Capps Funeral Home in Tylertown.
Mrs. Simmons, 62, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013. She was born Sept. 24, 1951, in Tylertown. She was the daughter of the late Elbert Jackson and Margaret Rutland Hodges.
She was a housewife and a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Rayford Simmons Sr. of Magnolia; two sons, Danny Rutland of Cheney, Kan.; and Rayford Simmons Jr. of Bogue Chitto; one daughter, LaDonna Felder of Hammond, La.; one brother, Gene “Buddy” Hodges of Brookhaven; two sisters, Edy Forman of Magnolia and Gale Summers of Monticello; three grandsons, Reid Simmons, Liam Rutland and Donnavan “D.J.” Felder; and one granddaughter, A’Lauren Felder.
Pallbearers will be: Ray Simmons Jr., Gary White, Will Summers, Daniel McKenzie, Brad Hodges, and Ben Hodges.
