Funeral services for Naida Bertha Westbrook Gill of McCall Creek are 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, at Concord Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Dr. Barry Ward, Dr. Phillip Smith and the Rev. Matt Emfinger will officiate. Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Sunday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Gill, 90, died Dec. 10, 2013, at Golden Living Center. She was born on March 17, 1923, in Amite County, to the late, Albert Sidney and Birdie Fleming Westbrook.

She was a member of the Concord Baptist Church and retired as a seamstress at the Kellwood Textile Company. Her family stated her greatest accomplishment was raising Christian children. All of her grandchildren further commented, “She was wonderful”.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to sew, cook and read and had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death were her parents: a husband, Claude F. Gill; one son, George Benton Gill; five sisters, Bernice Gill, Margie Williams, Ira Nettles, Doris Myers, Maxine Nettles; one brother, Euell Westbrook; three grandsons, Russell Stewart Gill, Donald Glyn Moulder Jr., and Claude Randolph Moulder; one granddaughter, Dedra Genice Moulder and one great-granddaughter, Ashley Dole.

Survivors include; one son, Russell W. Gill and wife, JoAnn; four daughters, Naida Jo and husband, Don Moulder, Relda Freeman, Claudette and husband, Jimmy Holden, Nancy and husband, John Calcote; one brother, Joel Westbrook; three sisters, Cornell Burke, Bobbie Bert Calcote and Wilma Martin; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; one brother in-law, Chester Gill; one sister in-law, Mary Gill and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chad Calcote, Garrieth Calcote, Daniel Calcote, Jason Freeman, Claude Gill and Jeff Wreyford.

Honorary Pallbearers will be George Gill, Sean White, Jeffery White, Craig Bounds, Phillip Smith, Thomas Rice, Michael Smith, Christopher Gill, Stewart Wreyford and Blake Wreyford.
