Lola Nell Kennedy Singleton

A memorial graveside service for Lola Nell Kennedy Singleton of Bogue Chitto will be held on Monday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. at Kennedy Family Cemetery in the community of Angie, La., on Keaton Road, north of Louisiana Highway 438.

Mrs. Singleton, 85, passed away at her residence on Nov. 1, 2013. She was born on Oct. 19, 1928, to Henry Jefferson Kennedy and Essie Martha Fortenberry Kennedy.

Mrs. Nell was a retired antique dealer and a former fabric business owner. She was also a master gardener and avid quilter and quilting teacher.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Theodore “T.D.” Singleton, and brothers, Hastel J. “Hack” Kennedy, Elvin W. “Red” Kennedy and James Q. Kennedy.

She is survived by her children, Catherine Suzanne “Suzie” Singleton and husband, Daniel Johnson, Theodore “Todd” David Singleton and Teme Forrest Singleton and wife, Kathryn Kline Singleton; her brothers, John P. Kennedy, Louie C. Kennedy and Hershel H. Kennedy; and sisters, Ouida Kennedy Troxler and Betty Kennedy Carr.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Chelsea Kennedy Golden, Julia Marie Singleton, Kathryn Olivia Singleton and David Robert Singleton, and a host of nieces and nephews.
