Allen wins BCC crown

Kent Allen captured the 2013 Brookhaven Country Club Championship for a second straight year but he had to go overtime. Allen won back-to- back titles with a birdie on the first playoff hole, edging runner-up Steve Yawn.

Allen struggled in the final round with a 9-over par 79, allowing Yawn (73) to tie him after regulation play. Both golfers had 3-round totals of 224.

It was Allen’s third Championship title (2006). Stephen Bozeman finished in third place at 227.
