The Fernwood Connection, consisting of Luther Reece, Balfour Lipscomb, Charlie Dunagin and Carl Ray, captured Thursday’s Senior Scramble at the Brookhaven Country Club. They shot a 13-under par 57 to take home the top prize.

In second place and winning a scorecard playoff was the team of Mel Dye, John Darington, Mike Jones and Leland Carruth at 12-under 58. In third place was the team of Dexter Butler, Lynwood Carr, James Roberts and Gary Randel.

Thirty-two golfers competed in the senior scramble. The scramble is open to the public and starts each Thursday at 9 a.m. Entry deadline is 8:30.
