Harold ‘Butch’ Cannon

Funeral services for Harold “Butch” Cannon of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, at First Apostolic Church in Bogue Chitto, with burial in Cold Springs Church of Christ Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Cannon, 65, died Aug. 7, 2013 at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 16, 1948.

He was a derrickhand in the oilfield and was a member of First Apostolic Church in Bogue Chitto. Mr. Cannon served in the U.S. Army and Navy in Vietnam.

Preceding him in death were his father, James F. Cannon; and brothers, Frank Cannon, Bruce Cannon and James Cannon Jr.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Ann Cannon; mother, Winnie Hall Cannon; sons, Timothy W. Cannon and wife, Laurie, James E. Cannon and H. Michael Cannon and wife, Nina; daughters, Nicky Cannon and Julia Cannon Nielsen and husband, Mike; brother, Carol “Mike” Cannon and wife, Louise; seven grandchildren, Frankie Cannon and wife, Nicole, Summer Cannon Durden and husband, Steven, Haley Pierce, Jacob Floyd, Raiden Floyd, Carlyanna Floyd and Gracelyn Cannon; three great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Troy Floyd.
