Visitation for Srikala Katner of Bogue Chitto was Tuesday, July 16, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.

Mrs. Katner, 53, died July 13, 2013 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in India on Aug. 3, 1959.

She attended Franklin High School in Indiana, the University of South Alabama, the University of Mississippi, the University of Southern Mississippi and Tulane University Law School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees.

Mrs. Katner was a lawyer and of the Hindu faith.

Preceding her in death were N.V. Pandurangam Naida and P. Sarojini Devi Naidu.

Survivors are her parents, Virupaksha Kothandapani and Sabitha Kothandapani; son, Max Virupaksha Katner; daughter, Ava Virupaksha Katner; sister, Rupa Kothandapani Kitchens; uncles, Suresh P. Babu and Jegdish P. Babu; and aunts, Rosy Babu and Connie Babu.
