Graduations get under way with BA ceremony on Friday

Strangely shaped caps will be flying soon. Graduates from 10 local schools are gearing up for their big night.
Starting this Friday, local students will don various colors of caps and gowns and receive those coveted diplomas.
The Class of 2013 will hold their ceremonies according to the following schedule:
• Brookhaven Academy – Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. in John R. Gray Gymnasium
• Lawrence County High School – Friday, May 17, at 7 p.m. on Cougar Field
• Loyd Star Attendance Center – Thursday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. on William Smith Field
• West Lincoln Attendance Center – Thursday, May 23, at 8 p.m. in Jack Case Gymnasium
• Mississippi School of the Arts – Friday, May 24, at 2 p.m. in Southwest Mississippi Community College’s Horace C. Holmes Auditorium
• Enterprise Attendance Center – Friday, May 24, at 6:30 p.m. on Harry L. Cole Field
• Brookhaven High School – Friday, May 24, at 7 p.m. on King Field
• Wesson Attendance Center – Friday, May 24, at 7 p.m. in Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Mullen Gymnasium
• Bogue Chitto Attendance Center – Friday, May 24, at 8 p.m. in R.L. “Bob” Calhoun Gymnasium
• Franklin County High School – Friday, May 24, at 8 p.m. in Louie Mullins Stadium
All graduation ceremonies held on the school’s football field may be moved to the school’s gymnasium in the event of rain.
