PURVIS – The Lawrence County Lady Cougars saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end Thursday night as the Purvis Lady Tornadoes secured a 6-2 victory over LCHS in Region 7-4A softball action.
“This was a tough loss,” said LCHS coach Meleah Howard. “We only had two errors, but it cost us in the end. We left nine runners on base and my big hitter struggled offensively. It hurts when you leave that many runners on base. Now, we must step it up in the rest of our district play.”
