Poole puts squeeze on opponents

JaBoree Poole’s No. 85 jersey brought back painful memories to many opposing quarterbacks when they reviewed Friday night encounters with Brookhaven’s senior defensive end. Poole caused mayhem in many backfields during the 2012 season, breaking up plays, stuffing runners and sacking quarterbacks.

Poole’s steady, aggressive performance has earned him The DAILY LEADER’s Defensive Player of the Year honors on the All-Lincoln County Football Team. He has made a verbal commit to sign a scholarship with Southern Miss on Feb. 6, 2013.

Joining Poole in the All-County defensive line are Jermaine Blackwell of Bogue Chitto, Marquis Price of Brookhaven and Colby Culbertson and Garrett Pace of Brookhaven Academy.
