Funeral services for Ida Jean Prestridge are 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 3, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto, with burial in the church cemetery. Catchings Funeral Home in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

     Mrs. Prestridge, 80, Sept. 1, 2012, at her home in the loving presence of her family. She was born in Bogue Chitto on Aug. 2, 1932, to Carl Andrew and Annie Bell Thornhill Moak.

     She was a member of M. Pleasant Baptist Church. Mrs. Prestridge was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. To know her was to love her.

     Preceding her in death were her parents.

     Survivors are her husband, Ralph Prestridge; sons, Gary Dale Prestridge and wife, Barbara, of Wesson, and Gill Andrew Prestridge, of Bogue Chitto; daughter, Sandra J. Brumfield and husband, Roger, of Bogue Chitto; grandchildren, Lyle Shane Brumfield, Corey Seth Prestridge, Lacey Dawn Adams and Theron Andrew Prestridge; four great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
