Funeral services for Rutha Merle Deese, of Silver Creek, were 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, with burial in Old Arm Cemetery.

     Mrs. Deese, 69, died June 7, 2012, at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg. She was born in Lawrence County on Sept. 22, 1942.
