Funeral services for Virginia Lee Ritz Etheridge, of Brookhaven, are 4 p.m. on Monday, June 4, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on N. Jackson Street, with burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

     Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Etheridge, 71, died June 1, 2012, at her home. She was born in Illinois on July 7, 1940.

     She was a nurse and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Brookhaven.

     Preceding her in death were her father, Vernon E. Ritz; and two husbands, Gerald Russell and Billy Ray Fauver.

     Survivors are her son, Greg “Smooth” Russell, of Lawrence, Kan.; mother, Margaret Upton Ritz; daughters, Margaret Russell Murray, of Brookhaven, Vicky Bergman, of Lawrence, Kan. and Mallory Fauver, of Foley, Ala.; brothers, V.K. Ritz and Lindell Ritz, both of Brookhaven; sisters, Sharon Brackett, of Brookhaven, Judith Boutwell, of Sontag, and June Stegall, of Brookhaven; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchldren.

     Pallbearers will be Phillip Upton, Christian Brown, Gage Bergman, Levi Upton, Shane Prather and Lee Blackwell. Honorary pallbearers are Joel F. Upton, James Fritz, Don Connelly, Maxie Boutwell and Gerald Smith.
