Happy Harvesters Meet in March

The Happy Harvesters’ meeting for March was held on Thursday, March 1, in the fellowship hall of Wesson Baptist Church. Charles Langley presided over the meeting. All members and visitors were welcomed and birthday greetings were extended to the following: Jane Stegall, Sarah Johnson and Denver Hatchell.

Kip Higdon presented the devotional using the scriptures Psalms 143:6 and John 6:35 and used the song “I Thirst” as the theme.

Annie Ruth Welter introduced the entertainment for the day: Curtis Carter, minister of music and senior adults, of Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon.

Carter’s program consisted of a “Name This Tune” format while playing familiar songs and tunes on the piano. The songs included “Bicycle Built for Two,” “Sentimental Journey,” “Piano Roll Blues” and audience favorites “How Great Thou Art,” “What a Friend We Have In Jesus” and “Jesus Loves Me.”

After a delicious lunch, the meeting was adjourned.
