Funeral services for Jesse Erwin Dean, ofHattiesburg, were 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service, with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Dean, 78, died Feb. 18, 2012, at his home. He was born inNewton County on May 27, 1933, to Jesse and Cleo Parks Dean.
He was an electrical draftsman engineer at Potter Company and amember of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. He attended andcompleted various colleges and courses. He was a member of theAmerican Legion and a Sunday School teacher. Mr. Dean served in theU.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a friend to all,respected and loved.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Marcus Joel Dean; andsister, Annie Mae Swisher.
Survivors are his wife of 58 years and seven months, Lorene GoforthDean; son, Stephen Dean; daughter, Debbie Dean White; sixgrandchildren, Jeffrey White, Emily White Sparkman, Meghan Dean,Rebecca Dean, Kimberly Dean and Nathaniel Dean; twogreat-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
