Funeral services for Geraldine M. Brown, ofBogue Chitto, are 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at BrookhavenFuneral Home on North Jackson Street, with burial in DickersonFamily Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

    Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.until 1 p.m., both at the funeral home. .

    Mrs. Brown, 81, died Feb. 8, 2012, at Rene’s Elderly Care Center inBogue Chitto. She was born in Jefferson Davis County on Oct. 14,1930, to Ernest and Dona Dickerson Moak.

    She was a homemaker and a member of Johnston Station BaptistChurch.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; and one sister, ErnestineHopkins. 

    Survivors are her three sons, Keith Souther and wife, Linda, ofBogue Chitto, Greg Souther and wife, Dianne, of Bogue Chitto, andJerry Souther and wife, Helen, of Summit; one daughter, BethSouther, of Bogue Chitto; three grandchildren, Chris Souther,Olivia Souther and Dona Michelle O’Quinn; and sixgreat-grandchildren.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any Animal RescueLeague. Mrs. Brown had a love for all animals and always fed anystrays that came around her home.
