Funeral services for Rosa Agnes GianfortePounds, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at St.Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Brookhaven, with burial inRiverwood Memorial Park. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

    Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9until 10 a.m., both at the church. Rosary will be Tuesday at 8p.m.

    Mrs. Pounds, 90, died Dec. 11, 2011, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Magnolia on Aug. 3, 1921, to John Angeloand Sarah Lamenta Gianforte.

    She was a homemaker and co-owner of Pounds Printing Company. Shewas of the Catholic faith.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Horace MitchellPounds; brothers, Sam Gianforte and Vincent Gianforte; and sisters,Frances Gianforte, Vencie Gianforte, Elizabeth Bethea, Mary Paulsenand Grace Rodgers.

    Survivors are her son, John Ray Pounds, of Brookhaven; daughter,Judy Peets and husband, Randy, of Brookhaven; brother, JoeGianforte and wife, Marilyn, of Shreveport, La.; in-laws, ValeriteGianforte and Wilma Faye Pounds; four grandchildren, Jefrey Peetsand wife, Elizabeth, Ryan Peets, Mitch Pounds and wife, Holly, andLisa and Kyle Breazeale; and 9 great-grandchildren, Taylor Peets,Leighanna Peets, Loren Pounds, Austin Pounds, Britton Pounds,Maddalynn Boyte, Sara Jane Boyte, Maryanna Boyte and HaileyBreazeale.

    The family gives a special thank you to her caregivers, June,Margie, Emma and Lee.
