Funeral services for Alvin H. Allen, ofBrookhaven, are 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service.

    Mr. Allen, 81, died June 26, 2011, in Brookhaven. He was born inBrookhaven on May 7, 1930, to Walter D. Allen and Elma WalkerAllen.

    He was a retired machinist at Vickers in Jackson. He served in theU.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of MacedoniaBaptist Church.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Morris Allenand Cecil Allen; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Allen; and several niecesand nephews.

    Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Allen; his sons, Kenny Allenand wife, Janet, of Raymond, Frank Allen, of Brookhaven, and JeffAllen and wife, Rhonda, of Madison; his daughter, Sharon AllenMcMillian and husband, Bobby, of Vicksburg; his brothers, ClintonAllen and wife, Peggy, and Clyde Allen, all of Brookhaven; hissister, Eloise Walker and husband, Wilton, of Brookhaven; hissister-in-law, Jo Pearl Allen, of Clinton; five grandchildren; 17great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
