Infant Faith Elizabeth Reid

At 2:37 p.m., on May 2, 2011, the Lord blessed this world withan angel. Her name was Faith Elizabeth Reid. God had a plan forthis 6 lb. 12 oz. 183/4-inch bundle of joy. His plan was to showall that would hear her story – the story of true Faith and thewill to fight for it. In eight days, this precious angel touchedthe hearts of so many people without even saying a word. On May 10,2011, at 10:10 p.m., God touched her tiny wings and flew herhome.

A special visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, from 5 until 8p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel. A private memorialservice will be held at a later date.

Faith Elizabeth is survived by her parents, Christopher Robin Reidand Blythe Elizabeth Jinks Reid, of Gulf Shores, Ala., formerly ofBrookhaven; her brothers, Layne Jackson Jinks and ChristopherJanson Reid; her grandparents, Michael and Geri Jinks of Brookhavenand Barbara Gray of Summit; her uncles, Destry Michael Jinks Sr.and Josh Reid; her aunts, Katelyn Reid and Marcia Jinks; hergreat-grandparents, Mary Lou “Buddy” McDavid of Brookhaven, SueReid of Brookhaven, Jewel Reid of Brookhaven; her great-greatgrandparents, Bobbie Altman and O’Neal Altman, both of SouthCarolina; her cousins, Destry Jinks, Jr. and Taylor Jinks of WinterSprings, Fla., Braydon and Trace McDavid of Starkville, and manymore cousins; her great uncles, Al McGowen of West Virgina, JeffStanley of Bogue Chitto, Tony Scroggs of Summit and Ricky Reid;great aunts, Sharon Elrod of South Carolina, Vicki Jinks McGowen ofWest Virginia, Marilyn McDavid of Brookhaven, Linda Stanley ofBogue Chitto, Rhonda Scroggs of Summit, and Karole Reid; honoraryaunts and uncles, Chance and Kayla McDavid of Starkville andLorissa and Tony Bass of Hattiesburg. Faith is also survived bythousands of friends and strangers who followed her battle ofshowing what true Faith really means.

Preceding her in death were her great-grandfathers, Lloyd McDavidof Brookhaven, Robert Jinks of Birmingham, Jim Scraggs of Liberty;her great-grandmothers, Gert Jinks of Birmingham and Patricia Brownof Walthall County; and her great-uncle, Bo McDavid ofBrookhaven.

Faith was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.
