Funeral services for Lucius Bernard Brister, of Bogue Chitto,are 11 a.m. on Monday, May 9, at Wellman Baptist Church inBrookhaven with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home andMonday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.

Mr. Brister, 77, died May 6, 2011, at his residence. He was bornon Feb. 23, 1934, to Lucius James Brister and WillieV DouglasBrister.

He was a school bus driver for Lincoln County Schools and theMississippi School of the Arts. He was a member of Wellman BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Theda Carlisle Brister; his sons, StevenBrister and wife, Sue, and Luke Brister and wife, Mary; hisdaughters, Cathy Ivy and husband, Danny, and Amy LaRue; his sister,Loretta Spencer and husband, Perry; 12 grandchildren; 19great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
