Co-Lin Monday games highlight cancer awareness

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College basketball teamshave declared Monday night, Feb. 14, as Co-Lin 4 A Cure for CancerAwareness Night in Mullen Gymnasium.
Co-Lin will host East Central, with tipoff for the Lady Wolves at 6p.m. Co-Lin Athletics has partnered with the Favre4Hope Foundationthis year to help raise money and to increase awareness of breastcancer research.
The Wolfpack asks people in attendance to wear pink in support ofbreast cancer awareness. Donation containers will be available inthe gym.
Co-Lin 4 A Cure Night will include a bevy of prizes and giveawaysto ensure an entertaining night for everyone. Local areabusinesses, including Sonic of Brookhaven, Bumpers in Brookhavenand Wal-Mart Brookhaven, have generously donated prizes.
“Breast cancer and other types of the disease have affected so manyof us, we wanted to do something to make a difference,” said Co-LinAthletic Director Gwyn Young. “We’ve chosen this night to focusattention, to raise money for research, and to encourage stepstoward prevention.”
