Wolves fall to Northwest

SENATOBIA – The Northwest Lady Rangers upset the No. 4 rankedLady Wolves 68-66 in overtime in a non-division contest. The gamewas tied at 60-all at the end of regulation. Northwest outscoredthe Lady Wolves 8-6 in the overtime period.

In the men’s game, The Northwest Rangers avenged an early seasonloss defeating the Wolves 72-60. Co-Lin defeated the Rangers 77-75in overtime win on Nov. 2 in the Southwest Coca-Cola Classic. TheWolves fall to 3-4 on the season.

Co-Lin will host Southwest Mississippi in the South Division openeron Thursday, Dec. 2. The Lady Wolves will tip off at 6 p.m.followed by the men’s game.

Northwest 68, Co-Lin 66 OT

Sophomore Kiara Etienne scored a game-high 25 points. SedrekaPlummer chipped in 13 points. Leading the Lady Wolves on thebackboards were Brandi Simmons and JaQuandria Williams with 10rebounds each.

The Lady Wolves held a 29-27 halftime lead.

Brittany Patton led four Lady Rangers in double-figures with 13points. Sherneal Thompson came off the bench and scored 12 points.Scoring 10 points apiece were Lanita Fuller and SandrickaFuller.

Northwest 72, Co-Lin 60

The Rangers shot 54 percent in the first half to take a 36-21 leadinto the locker room. Northwest finished the game shooting 48percent compared to Co-Lin’s 37 percent. The Ranger bench outscoredthe Co-Lin bench 33-8.

Sophomore Marcus Hooten scored a game-high 21 points and pulleddown 5 rebounds to lead the Wolves. Jamaal McCoy chipped in 10points and pulled down a team-high 6 rebounds.

Reggie Brown and A. J. Cunningham scored 10 points apiece forNorthwest.
