Funeral services for Mildred Ellen Herring Stokes, ofBrookhaven, are 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service Chapel, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery inSummit.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stokes, 82, died June 20, 2010, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. She was born in Mississippi on April 26,1928, to Lonnie E. Herring and Ida Nordan Herring.

She was retired from Stahl-Urban Manufacturing Co. and was a memberof Southway Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ray Stokes;one sister and eight brothers.

Survivors are her son, Rodney Stokes and wife Melanie; herdaughter, Sherry Stokes Foster; her sister, Mamie Bell Hemphill;her grandchildren, Alex, Aaron and Austin Stokes, and AnthonyFoster and wife Cindy; her three stepgrandchildren, Perrin, Madelynand Ashton; and one great-grandchild, Addyson Grace Foster.
