Charles Larry Yawn

Charles Larry Yawn, 70, of Summit, died May 23, 2010 at hisresidence. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 25, from 5 until 9 p.m.at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb.
Private graveside services will be held Wednesday at the YawnFamily Cemetery in Summit. The Rev. Cliff Burris and the Rev. AllenDearing will officiate.
Mr. Yawn was born on Aug. 23, 1939, in Monroe, La., to C.L. andFlora Carlock Yawn.
He served in various law enforcement positions, including PikeCounty Constable. He also worked for Crawford and Company ascatastrophe adjuster, and was a FEMA Contractor and cattlefarmer.
Mr. Yawn loved fishing, woodworking and leather crafts. He was amember of Johnston Chapel Methodist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Amelia Smith Yawn, of Summit; his sons anddaughters-in-law, Charlie Yawn, of Gonzales, Bobby and Donna Yawn,and Chris and Jacquelyn Yawn, all of McComb; his daughters andsons-in-law, Pam and Jeff Cross of Atlanta, Ga., Angela and DougNobert of Memphis, Tenn., Kim and Lane Stewart of Ocean Springs,Heidi and Joey Moore of Tupelo, and Kandy and Alan McGinnis ofPace, Fla.; and his brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Linda Yawnof West Memphis, Ark.
Pallbearers are Justin Cross, Matthew Stewart, Austin Yawn, LoganYawn, Payton Yawn, Jeremy Moore, Joseph Moore and JoshuaYawn.
